|Description:||This is a position involving clinical responsibility for psychiatric and related medical practices at Directions.|
Directions for Living has embarked upon implementing and imbedding Trauma Informed Care principles throughout our agency. Candidates should have knowledge and/or interest in assisting Directions for Living carry out this implementation.
1.Establish and maintain effective rapport with consumers.
2.Develop accurate and complete psychiatric evaluations of consumers.
3.Develop realistic and effective medication treatment plans with consumers and update them as appropriate.
4.Maintain continuity of contact with consumers as appropriate to their treatment plans.
5.Maintain a level of direct service of at least 70%.
6.Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with consumers.
7.Communicate evaluations and plans effectively to primary clinicians.
8.Involve significant others of consumers in their treatment, as appropriate.
9.Exhibit flexibility regarding clinical approach in order to most effectively respond to differing consumer problems.
10.Utilize internal Organization resources for consumer referral as appropriate to achieve the consumerís treatment plan.
11.Adhere to Organization policies, professional standards and legal requirements regarding clinical practice.
12. Provides clinical supervision to a minimum of three Psychiatric ARNPs and others as assigned and needed.
13. Acts as protocol physician for up to three assigned ARNPs.
Clinical Administrative Duties
1.Maintain mediation logs accurately.
2.Document psychiatric evaluations and progress notes in accordance w/ organization outlines, policies and reimbursement requirements.
1.Serve in Peer Review and Utilization Review Studies, as necessary, to represent medical practice.
1.Completion of the appropriate course of medical education to secure and maintain Florida licensure as a Board eligible psychiatrist.
2.Successful completion of a background investigation with the Florida Department of Professional regulation.
1.Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to relate well to all types of people.
2.Requires ability to stay calm and follow procedure in a crisis.
3.Requires ability to sit and use desktop equipment for long periods of time.
4.Requires ability to monitor consumers through visual and auditory means.
5.Requires ability to read and speak English correctly.
6.Requires ability to assess clinical performance of other medical staff and create continuing improvements in staff practice.
7.Requires ability to develop practice changes within the organizational context which strengthens overall clinical practice.
8.Requires ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
