|Description:||The Access Coordinator provides high quality information and support that enhances the overall quality of Directions’ services, and creates positive interactions between self, staff, clients and other key stakeholders.|
DIRECTIONS FOR LIVING HAS EMBARKED UPON IMPLEMENTING AND IMBEDDING TRAUMA INFORMED CARE PRINCIPLES THROUGHOUT OUR AGENCY. CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE KNOWLEDGE AND/OR INTEREST IN ASSISTING DIRECTIONS FOR LIVING CARRY OUT THIS IMPLEMENTATION.
|Duties:||This position is responsible for appropriately receiving, coordinating and scheduling internal/external referrals and walk-ins. This position requires extensive telephone and face-to-face contact with clients and other providers, as well as assessing crisis situations and routing emergency calls/situations to the proper personnel, quickly and efficiently. |
|Qualifications:||•High School Diploma or Equivalent.|
•Excellent math skills
•Accurate keyboard, data entry and typing.
•Legible handwriting, accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
•Basic computer literacy including Internet and Microsoft Office programs
•Ability to easily learn new systems and programs
•Must take Profiler or other electronic health care information system basic training and receive a passing grade on the exam.
•Excellent communication and people skills
•Must have a customer service approach and be able to deal with clients assertively when needed.
•Must work well as a team member and be able to successfully integrate ideas from all sources into regular work requirements.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•Experience with medical or clinical billing software environment.
•Experience working with an electronic health record.
