Licensed Therapist Supervisor (Diversion)

|Description:||This position is with the Diversion Services specifically under the Eckerd Alternatives Contract to decrease the number of children entering the Child Welfare System. |
|Duties:||The Licensed Therapist will work in a team approach to utilize a solution-focused, family centered approach and evidenced based practices to assist families in meeting needs and goals while preventing further incidents of abuse, neglect and abandonment. This individual will work with the other members of the team to provide a supportive, empowering and respectful relationship with families to facilitate change and emphasize the need to take action by providing both concrete services and family interventions. Licensed Therapists will be practice leaders and will oversee both masters prepared clinicians and Family Care Managers. The Licensed Therapist will provide therapeutic services in the home or in a place convenient to the family and the services needed. The focus of this position is to provide short term crisis intervention services to at-risk families. The Licensed Therapist will provide services that will be flexible to the parents individual needs and will include a discharge/after care plan for each family upon case closure. The Licensed Therapist will identify the family’s strengths and resources and build upon these elements. Individuals in this position will participate in case staffings. Upon assignment to a family, the therapist will complete an in depth clinical assessment with a focus on Trauma Informed Care treatment at the initiation of the case, and update the assessment at critical junctures and at the closure of the case. The Licensed Therapist will provide transportation for clients as needed or assigned. Depending upon the risk level of the case, the number of weekly therapeutic visits will vary – high risk cases receiving more frequent counseling. The Licensed Therapist may be assigned to be on call for coverage after hours and on weekends or to act as backup to the Director or Diversion Services or to the Assistance Director of Diversion Services. Staff are required to complete all corporate and industry related training for child welfare services. |
|Qualifications:||oHave a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited college or university.|
oCertified Addictions Professional (CAP) preferred.
oFlorida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW required.
oHave an established record as a strong team player.
oExcellent organizational skills, detailed oriented.
oExcellent presentation and training skills.
oExcellent people, customer service skills.
oMinimum 3-5 years of experience in high risk/lethality assessments and other related previous experience specific to child welfare.
oTrained and knowledgeable in The Signs of Safety approach.
oHave the ability to work independently, to coordinate multiple tasks, prioritize work and manage time to accomplish tasks with multiple interruptions.
oDemonstrated leadership abilities to act as a team lead and effectively oversee other team members.
oPossess effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
oHave excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
oHave strong working knowledge of electronic record environment; in particular, FSFN and be proficient in Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
oWorking knowledge of Profiler/Avatar electronic healthcare systems preferred.
oHave knowledge of clinical workflow and a basic understanding of clinical terminology.
oHave substance abuse treatment experience.
oMust be available 24/7 for emergencies and backup as required. Ability to work irregular hours as needed.
oAble to develop and maintain outstanding relationships with the respective staff of County Sheriff’s Department and Eckerd Community Alternatives involved in this project.
oAble to become a Medicaid provider.
oMust have and maintain clear driving record, maintain required corporate levels of personal vehicle insurance and must pass safety vehicle inspection check.
oAble to be designated as a Medicaid provider.
oMust successfully pass the state required background screening prior to employment
